What Ancestral Wisdom Can Reveal About Who You Are Today

Some stories begin long before we do. We do not always realise it, but many of the ways we see the world, experience emotions, make decisions, or search for meaning have been shaped by the people who came before us. Not every inheritance is material. Some are passed on through teachings, values, sensitivities, and ways of understanding life that travel across generations.
For centuries, ancestral wisdom was passed down in this way. Before books, courses, and technology, knowledge was shared through observation, listening, and lived experience. Women taught other women how to understand the cycles of nature, trust their intuition, and recognise that the body holds its own wisdom.
Over time, much of this connection has been replaced by the pursuit of quick answers, constant productivity, and external validation. Gradually, many of us stopped looking within and began believing that every answer had to be found outside ourselves.
Yet ancestral wisdom has never belonged only to the past. It remains alive every time we choose to cultivate presence, listen to our intuition, and create space to understand who we truly are.
That is where my own story begins.
My grandmother dedicated her life to the study of Astrology and Tarot. Later, my aunt followed the same path, deepening that knowledge and keeping alive a tradition that has always been part of our family. From a very young age, I grew up surrounded by conversations about symbols, cycles, and different ways of understanding life.
Even so, for many years, I chose a different direction. I built a career in the corporate world, working with global brands and developing a professional path guided by strategy, results, and growth. It was a career that made sense, yet a part of me was quietly being called back to my roots.
It was during a sabbatical that this connection began to take on a new form. Yoga became much more than a physical practice; it became a way of living, breathing, and experiencing my body with greater awareness. Later, my studies in Moonology deepened my understanding of the Moon’s cycles and the way they interact with our emotions, decisions, and seasons of transformation.
In that moment, I realised I did not have to choose between two worlds.
The experience I had built over more than twenty years in the corporate world and the ancestral wisdom passed down through my family were never in conflict. They complemented one another. One offered structure, direction, and vision. The other taught me presence, intuition, and connection.
Eva Wellness was born from the meeting of those two worlds.
It is a space created to bring together ancestral wisdom and contemporary wellbeing practices, showing that personal growth does not need to exist separately from modern life. Yoga, Moonology, Tarot, and Mentorship all became part of the same philosophy: helping women reconnect with themselves through practices that cultivate awareness, balance, and presence.
Perhaps honouring your ancestry does not mean repeating the story of the women who came before you. Perhaps it means recognising the wisdom they left behind, understanding what still resonates with your life today, and allowing that knowledge to continue evolving through your own journey.
Because some inheritances are not meant to keep us tied to the past. They exist to remind us of who we have always been.
